“Is The Gospel of Jesus Christ Offensive?”
How often do we hear things like: “Well, you can’t push them because you might drive them away”,
or “They’re from an other religion, so they won’t listen”. You may think that people don’t
want to hear about Christ, but it’s a matter of fact that a lot of people don’t know who Christ is. The
reason people don’t know is because of the attitude of today’s Christian. How will they believe unless
we teach them, How will they be converted unless we teach them? (Rom 10:14) How then shall they call on him in
whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear
without a preacher? We really need to take on a new attitude when it comes to our responsibility as Christians.
Instead of worrying about pushing them away, why not just let them know who Christ is? I mean just imagine, where
would you be today if someone didn’t take the time to teach you the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? You’d
still be wondering around lost in sin, and headed for eternal damnation.
We have to be more aggressive when it comes to Gospel. Keep this in mind,
if people walk away from the truth well they were going to walk away anyway. What I’m saying is this, if they
walk away, well they walk away, but at least you’ve planted the seed of Jesus Christ, and now their blood won’t
be on your hands. (1st Cor. 3:8) Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every
man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that
you’re being offensive. Just remember this, the world shows the most graphic, despicable, things ever imaginable,
and we just continue to take it and stay silent. Our children are being converted to worldly sin at an alarming rate,
they’re being taught that alcohol makes them cool, that sex means they’re independent and grown up, that
drugs opens their minds to free ideas. But the underlying truth is this, Satan is on a rampage, and our seed is in
his pathway. (1st Peter 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Satan doesn’t care who he gets and how he gets them,
he just wants to keep them blind from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
How do you feel about your children? Do you love and care for them? Do
you want to hand them over to Satan? Well why not make a stand today, why not fight the good fight to Glorify God?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not offensive, it’s the key to attaining eternal life, so don’t be ashamed
of it. Satan wants you to think that the Gospel will push them away, but the fact of the matter is, the Gospel of
Jesus Christ will free them from Satan’s grip. Just remember what’s at stake, it’s the eternal
existence of your seed and God’s creation. (Rom 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
Greek.
